Yup. dA started as a skinner/mod thing (creating different front-end interfaces for popular applications, etc) then it picked up in other regards... now just about anything that can be construed as art is accepted... just about any creative endeavor... just lacks the ability to handle music and video. Unless its in flash format! There's whole tons of space dedicated to fiction and prose and poetry. Watch out, though. Just like in the visual arts section, you'll find plenty of Harry Potter and Yaoi stuff in the textual areas.

Right on... definitely good to know.

And I completely understand the warning... This place seems to have a bit of a fantasy-art overload for those of us that are dragons-and-wizards-and-anime-aphobic....
